Overview
Jatiluhur Dam faces geotechnical challenges such as soil movement and structural deformation, which can affect its long-term stability. Gradual shifts in the dam body or surrounding slopes, if left undetected, may lead to structural stress, increased maintenance costs, or even failure risks. Continuous monitoring is essential to detect these movements early and implement necessary mitigation measures before they escalate.
To address this, PT Telematika Aset Monitoring (TeAM) has installed inclinometers to monitor soil displacement in real time. These instruments, combined with telemetry solutions, allow for remote data access and timely analysis, ensuring that any structural changes are identified and addressed promptly. With this monitoring system, TeAM supports the safety and resilience of Jatiluhur Dam, helping maintain its structural integrity for sustainable operation.
What We Support
To ensure real-time monitoring of soil movement at Jatiluhur Dam, PT Telematika Aset Monitoring (TeAM) has deployed 40 Geosense In-Place Inclinometers (IPI)—20 units with 0.5m gauge lengths and 20 units with 2.5m gauge lengths—to measure biaxial subsurface displacement. These sensors are integrated with a Loadsensing Digital Datalogger (2-channel, wireless) for efficient data transmission, eliminating the need for extensive cabling. The system is further supported by IPI Top Flyed Assemblies and a 65-meter support rope for stable sensor installation.
To enhance data processing, TeAM utilizes the Trimble 4D (T4D) platform with a Perpetual Node supporting 50 additional geotechnical sensors. This platform provides a real-time dashboard for visualization, trend analysis, and automated reporting, enabling proactive risk mitigation. By integrating these technologies, TeAM delivers a cost-effective monitoring solution, reducing maintenance costs and ensuring the long-term safety of Jatiluhur Dam.
