Overview
Sei Ladi Dam, managed under BP Batam, requires a comprehensive and integrated monitoring system to ensure its structural integrity and operational safety. One of the key challenges has been the need to integrate data from multiple piezometers installed across the dam to monitor pore water pressure effectively. The absence of a centralized system previously made it difficult to obtain real-time insights and conduct proactive risk assessments.
To address this, an advanced dam monitoring solution has been implemented, enabling seamless integration of piezometer data with other geotechnical and hydrological sensors. This system not only facilitates real-time data acquisition and analysis but also enhances the overall early warning and decision-making process. By leveraging automated monitoring technology, Sei Ladi Dam is now equipped with a more reliable and efficient approach to ensuring dam safety and long-term performance.
Monitoring
To meet the monitoring integration needs at Sei Ladi Dam, TeAM has provided a comprehensive solution by deploying 20 units of Geosense VW Piezometer VWP3000 (345 kPa LAE). These high-precision piezometers enable continuous and accurate monitoring of pore water pressure, ensuring real-time insights into dam stability. The installation is supported by 798 meters of wired sensor cable ensuring reliable data transmission from the sensors to the central monitoring system.
For seamless data management and analysis, Trimble 4D Control (T4D) software has been implemented with perpetual licenses for both T4D Advanced and T4D Geotechnical Monitoring, allowing integration of up to 250 additional geotechnical sensors. This advanced software enables automated data processing, real-time visualization, and early warning capabilities, significantly enhancing dam safety monitoring. With this integrated solution, Sei Ladi Dam now benefits from a robust and efficient monitoring system, ensuring proactive risk management and long-term structural health.
