Overview
PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) previously utilized an automated total station for slope monitoring but faced limitations in accuracy and measurement stability, impacting the reliability of geotechnical data. To overcome these challenges, PT Telematika Aset Monitoring (TeAM) introduced the Trimble S5, delivering superior precision, durability, and system integration. This transition, initiated in 2023 and continuing in 2024, has significantly improved data consistency and reliability for AMNT’s geotechnical team. To further enhance monitoring capabilities, large monitoring prisms were strategically installed at each crest pit, enabling more detailed and accurate ground movement tracking. With this optimized system, AMNT now benefits from improved early risk detection and data-driven decisionmaking, ensuring safer and more efficient mining operations.
What We Provide
Installing the Trimble S5 total station in AMNT’s open-pit mine required strategic placement at elevated monitoring bases to ensure a clear line of sight to monitoring prisms. Each unit was mounted on a reinforced concrete pillar, carefully positioned on stable ground to minimize vibrations and external disturbances. The installation process included precise leveling and alignment to optimize measurement accuracy, with Settop M1 enabling remote access and automated data streaming for seamless integration. For Large Monitoring Prism MP115, 100 units were installed along the crest pit at key geotechnical locations to ensure comprehensive slope movement tracking. Each prism was securely mounted on steel or concrete structures, properly aligned with the Trimble S5 for maximum reflectivity and measurement reliability. Data from the total stations and prisms is processed through Trimble 4D Control Server, providing real-time visualization, automated alerts, and detailed reporting to enhance proactive geotechnical monitoring.
